I had the need to get some paths from text and noticed:

1. when converting text to paths the curves move location from where the text is.

2. the curves are not an exact outline of the text (I tried a few fonts).

I then tried in Illustrator and got exactly as expected....

It is true, I always manually redraw text with lines, arcs & splines, on top of the converted geometry.
Otherwise, solid extrusion may get very bad...
