when starting in the forum any user with a localized version will have the trouble that he's missing a lot due to different words for operations, menu entries, tool names or short cut list function names.

I recommend to install an english version when learning the program (can't recall if it was offered during setup though) or use the english demo.
Here is how to change the software language (not the help files, though) for windows:

-Goto Install directory, e.g. C:/Punch! ViaCAD Pro 6.0/Strings/*.*
-Open the file "strings.ini" in a text editor.
-In my case it has 2 lines only, one in the form
Language=Strings_German
- This is the name of a corresponding string table file in the same directory. Also there is a file named String_English. If you have that in your installation change it to
Language=Strings_English
- Restart the software.
