File Formats, Solidworks , sony etc,

lots of times, run into the import /export problem

1 - DXF, DWG, always something missing or lost,
sometimes not even usable at all
2 - Solidworks is pushing in,
at least the 3dxml should be supported,
basically , everything GLC Viewer can do.
-> on that note, GLC Viewer, the Album feature is very usable/good.
3 - Sony Collada .DAE
4 - Meshlab, more then often I need to fix a STL output with Meshlab,
just can't trust the output,....
5 - Blender -> Materials
obj, 3ds , etc, --> Materials, don't seam to work.
should not be that hard, to have Materials, colors , etc come through.
6 - Viacad / punchcad file format
more then a few times, the model gets scrambled, not usable,
because , position and rotation within the model, gets mixed up.
if I open up a model, 2 minutes or 2 years later, really should not be afraid, that I need to spend a half day to fix it, or figure out what's not right.
7 - google sketchup, import / export
8 - JT open, SIemens PLM, even PTC is pushing it,...
