I have Shark Lt 1016 at home and at work. The one at work if I change from inches to feet/inches it converts correctly. At home it rounds down to the nearest foot eg 30 .625" at work becomes 2'6 5/8" at home it becomes 2'
Any ideas ?

Jim

Under the modify->dimension->tolerance menu (no fraction, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16). This will change all highlighted dimensions. The file->preference->units has options too.

Tried that does not make a difference. I have this installed on three separate computers. It works fine on two older ones running Xp 32 bit but the 64 bit windows eight will not dimension in feet and inches. I tried the feet only option and it dimensions in feet and decimals of a foot so it works.

Thanks Jim

I've got ViaCAD Pro 8 installed on Windows 8 64-bit. I was having an impossible time trying to get feet and inches to show up on my dimensions. Not even the tape measure would show it.

So far this seems to be an artifact on 64-bit Windows. I guess I'll have to revert to another unit until a fix is available. (I wonder if it has anything to do with the "Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable" that was installed along with ViaCAD? I've got the 2008 x64 Redistributable version also installed, but I doubt that it's used by ViaCAD. Then, it's likely that I don't know what I'm talking about!)
