Perhaps this has been asked time and time again, but here goes:

Does anybody know where to obtain a free 3D library of parts in common file format so I don't have to model each one? I'm looking for common screws, nails and dowels. I have a bunch of assembly instructions to generate.

I've looked online to no avail. Thanks again!

This site is hosted by SolidWorks, but you can get a HUGE variety of things here in STEP, STL and other formats. It is free, but you do have to register and be subjected to email offerings from SolidWorks. It is worth it, though.
