How can I turn on control points for a surface and be able to select along the M or N of the surface easily? Years ago (in Rhino) I was able to select control points along a M or an N of a surface, then scale/translate/rotate as needed. It seems like in Shark/viaCad one can turn on points that show only one surface direction, i.e. M but not N, and then each control point has to be selected manually. Thanks.

There's a command called elevate surface. Maybe that can help!

ALSO:
Can surfaces be elevated by manipulating the Inspector's Data values? Do the values need to be the same? Why can't these values be different? Other Apps do this. There is even an option to add a U, or V, at a location along an edge or at a location on a surface by selecting the location on the surface.

You can force the UV to different values and then elevate surface afterwards. See picture.

Go to object resolution.

Insert knot adds control points too, but seems random. No obvious means of control or parametrisation.

Rockyroad_us, interesting that object resolution has those settings, in a way it makes sense, but I wouldn't have thought that those settings were there. I was thinking that when one turns on points for a surface those auto-magically appear.
Zumer, exactly.
