Step import in build 929 seems to be broken.
Files that I can easily load into Shark 5.5. produce nothing but an empty layer in the latest build of Version 7.

Tim, any information on this issue?

Ciao, Norbert

I have several files in with Spatial regarding STEP. If you have an example I can check and give them that would be great.

Hi Tim.
Sorry for the late reply.
Unfortunately I am under NDA and therefore cannot send You the problematic STEP file.

I digged a little deeper into the problem though and found out that it seems to be related to the particular files I tested:
The original file I needed to import didn't work (just empty layers), so I tested another one to doublecheck and that one didn't work either.
At this point I concluded the problem would be related to Shark V7 as both files imported without problems in Version 5.5.
The funny thing is that those two STEP files I tested are (as of now) the only files that give me problems, when I checked several other STEP files (after my initial post) they worked as expected.
So though there is indeed some strange behavior in STEP import (some files that version 5.5 opened don't work) most of the files DO instead import correctly.

I will check with my client if I can send You (one of) the problematic file(s).

Ciao, Norbert
