Is this a common problem with Viacad v8(984)? I have been experiencing this problem since I started using viacad v8 (upgrade from v6). I have seen posts on this forum suggesting that the cause could be memory issues, corrupt files, etc., but no confirmation of what actually causes this problem.

Happens to me all the time, so often (as well as crashes) that I have the auto backup running always, which is a life saver, and also very helpful if you change the design and need to go back to prior versions you forgot to save.

If anyone has some steps to repeat, that would be great in tracking down.

Take a large complex model and copy everything on the screen to another location and save. Keep repeating and it will happen.

Are you using Save with the same name or Save As?

Add me on the list too.
It's the first time I get it, with SFX b1002.
Save Fails.
Save as Fails.
Export all layers to SFX V8 fails.
Export all layers to SFX V7SP1 fails.
.................................
Export all layers to SFX V7 WORKS !.
After importing it back in V8SP1, I can modify and save.
Tim, does it ring a bell ?
