When I double click on a file in the finder, it opens with CU V4, even if it was just modified with CU V4 SP3.

At least, it means that it is backward compatible...

I thought that there was just something screwy with my system.

This is the sort of basic bug that just never should have got past the most basic of quality control (yes, I am dreaming). How can Punch stand behind a V4 product that doesnt open its own files when you double click the file.

It is my understanding that with OS-X file association is done by the operating system. Apple also strongly urging developers to use extensions to support its move to a flat file system. I believe you can overide the OS logic by manually by:
--clicking on a file document
--do a get info,
-- set the associated app via the Open With command.

Regarding Concepts and ViaCAD, typically file formats stay the same for service packs.

Also for all our apps, there is no plan to change file extensions per service pack.

Despite going through this operation almost daily I have yet to get a file to open in SP3 unless I already have SP3 running. For some very strange reason CU always defaults to SP2 if you double click a file, or click and then press Command-O (open) when CU is not running.
