Has there been any word if ViaCAD / Shark will be ported to the new ARM based Macs when they come out?

No, but I've been looking at one of the ARM Windows PCs and so far, they're all 32-bit. Maybe they do something RISC-style parallel processing, or local distributed, but I haven't seen any mention of that, just 'Ooh Aaahing' about battery durability.

Hope so, or else the Mac version will be dead in about two years time!

Hi,
In detail Rosetta2 seems not able to translate AVX, AVX2 e AVX512 instruction for vector operations.
Can SharkCAD Pro v12 be translated by Rosetta2 w/o problems over new Apple silicon ARM MacBook?

Hi all, long time Viacad 2D3D user. New MacBook Air M1 user. I just upgraded to VCPro at the suggestion of Encore tech support. VCPro retains all the features I wanted from t he old 2D3D version. I installed on my MacBook Air M1 and everything seems to be working well. I assume Rosetta 2 did or is-doing all the conversions necessary but so far I'm happy that things are working. I'll report back if I run into any issues but after 2 weeks - so far so good.
