I'm on an M2 Mac Mini using Viacad Pro 14. Lately I've been getting a lot of lockups, and I have to cmd-opt-esc out of Viacad and restart.

It's unpredictable... I don't know what triggers my lockup. But I can tell when I do a menu pick and nothing happens... at that point I can't even quit.

Does anyone else have that issue? Any cures?

Last time I looked Viacad was running in Rosetta until ACIS was compiled for the ARM. Is that still true, or are we native on the ARM now?

I just upgraded to Viacad v14 to run on MacOS Sonoma with new M3 MBP. Yes, I am also seeing a lockup of the interface. I can open drop down menus from the menu bar but cannot select any commands. All keyboard shortcuts show as greyed out. Can't quit with Command-Q. I can still manipulate objects and access other tools in the Tool pallet. Only choice is to force quit.

I think I can reproduce this issue: if I only open new windows and create objects and manipulate them, ViaCad v14 appears to behave. However, when I open a ViaCad (.vcp) file from my previous version (v10), the interface locks up as I describe as soon as the file is open (no editing or manipulation necessary). If I use the import menu to open the older file, ViaCad appears to behave for the most part in that the menus don't lock up as before. However, if I close the imported file (no windows open) ViaCad will still lock up with the menu behavior I described. The lock up doesn't seem to occur if I just work with new documents.
So maybe a workaround but there still are some bugs here.
