Hi, this is probably the 3rd or 4th variation on the same theme of requesting retro-enhancement of the layers' branches/trees and movement of layers between other branches/trees in the same model or brought in from another open VCP/Shark model.

When will it become possible to cut and paste or copy and paste entire branches or trees of one model into another model?

It is very painstaking to create a model that seems good, then after weeks of work gets deprecated due to cleanup and a need to transfer deep, long layers into another model. The current import/export method does not seem to allow select "sculpting" or cherry-picking.

"Preserve Layers" under Paste Options does not recreate the individual sublayers of the geometry being imported. It would be really useful, very important/meaningful, not just nice, to offer a corrective patch that would endow VCP 7 and Shark v 8 to have this feature. And, "Preserve Layers" seems to be aimed more at imports, not copy or cut/pasted. But, on import, continuous importation creates redundant/unwanted duplicated nesting/renesting, and it is not possible to snip whole branches and drop them into a newly-desired tree/branch.

This would be an immense time-saver for me since layer edits are a multi-session, time-consuming thing to settle down.
