Hi,
I had this issue many times this week with this tool:
On attached file, skin the 2 red profiles with the guides.
---> the resulting solid is damaged, looking transparent

Check object + repair makes it correct.:)
Why doesn'it repair on its own ?

Upload file seems to be broken.
Here's the route to make it :
first profile - 4 connected conics
second profile - a circle
Guides - 4 lines between conics and at circle quadrants.
