Thanks Birger - I sent them direct to Tim

There must be a problem somewhere

They are quicktime .MOV format

I made them using the quicktime clip maker in Shark FX

Perhaps the problem lies there - though they playback fine here

Could also be a QT on PC problem - that or something gets changed when uploading /downloading

Not playing on my Mac either.

Quicktime says:
The movie could not be opened.
The file is not a movie file.

.. and again ...

Tim's %^&$% Quicktime Capture Tool in SharkFX doesn't work properly - ???

Tim .. if I take one of the movie clips from Shark - and send it or post it - it doesn't work - even though it does play back here

If I copy and paste in QT a portion or all of the movie into another file and save it - it works just fine when sent or posted

Is there something you are doing with the QT that is stopping it from working once transferred to a new location .. I can guess it's something to do with saving as self-contained movie as opposed to referenced movie

Am I correct ?

Anyone else use QT capture in Shark FX and get it to work off the bat ?

is anybody else able to post a Shark FX made "Record QT" movie successfully ?

.. either from the Mac or from a PC

I'd love to get to the bottom of this

.. presently, I think there's something wrong in the way that Shark writes "record QT"

they seem to open fine on the 'home' machine but once posted or emailed - become unplayable
