I have an acquaintance that picked up ViaCAD on my suggestion and is very happy with the ability to design his robotics components in it.

I am machining a part for him that requires surfacing (GibbsCAM), but I would like the ability to suppress features in CU.

I don't see native ViaCAD file support in CU, and I would like an idea on the best means to import ViaCAD to CU.

thanks,

tom

Ask them to export the file as ViaCAD V4 version. This will read into CU.

Thanks Tim,

I checked, and it is in ViaCAD 3, so I'll see if he can send that.

ViaCAD 2D/3D most current build number is 711. I just checked my build, you should be able to export a V4 formated file.
