being a big fan of musical instruments, both acoustic and electronic, I'd like to show you the works of another one of my current faves, Teenage Engineering.

Just look at that record player (although I don't think styrofoam is quite the right material to use!). And that synthesiser?! :eek: Remember the Casio VL-1? The calculator keyboard for kids? Yummy! :cool:

I think there are some advantages to that foam, if it isn't left in the sunshine. Nice and light, so it doesn't need a large counterbalance, and the foam will be self-damping. It's likely that undamped stray resonances could be more easily tuned to convenient frequencies. Clever. Do they mean they're designed by teenagers or built for them?
