If I understand it correctly, you can move the gripper location, but it changes it for all objects until you either reassign it or change it back to "center of selected". I would like to be able to modify the gripper location of an individual object and have it stay with the object.

I happen to be working on a modular "ball and socket" design so it was obvious what I needed.

Thanks,

Art

Hi Art

You can assign the attach point with File : Reference : Set Attach Point. The Gripper looks if there is a user defined attach point and will grab that instead of the default.

Thanks Tim,

Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the quick response.

I looked in the manual and purchased the tips book and did not find this.

Kismet!

How do I make sure that my tips guide is up to date?

Hi Art

I will be sending out a PDF update to the email address you used to purchase. I've got about 35 new tips ready for the update. Plus some folks identified a few clarifications needed for existing tips. The new tips come from questions asked in this forum, questions I get from Encore tech support, and from Encore's international partner tech support team.

Tim
