Tim,

Minor suggestion for VIACAD 2D/3D and PRO V9...

It would be nice if we had the option to have some of the "View" menu items in an onscreen toolbar. I am referring only to the predefined views themselves, not every item in the View menu. I do use the keyboard shortcuts, but a toolbar option would still be nice. Same goes for the Workplane menu. This is not a priority issue for me, just a matter of convenience.

Hi Tim,
I don't have ViaCAD, but use Shark, and in the lower right corner of the Navigator there is a view button or view
menu.

Hi Larry,

Thanks for the suggestion, but methinks I might not have a Navigator window in VIACAD. :(
I'm sure the Shark series you are using has several things that VIACAD does not.

I also edited my post above to clarify that I am referring to VIACAD. While I find VIACAD to be quite powerful, it maybe can't quite swim with the SHARKS in some respects! :-)

Enable the Navigator through the Short cut keys. Select Window -> Navigator then set a key.

This is an undocumented feature, give it a try. Should be part of the program.

Hah! Success! I now have a Navigator window thanks to you two. Now methinks VIACAD *can* swim with the SHARKS.

While I'd still like a few preset icons in a toolbar, this is a pretty darn cool for a hidden feature.
