I have some drawings made with SketchUp 15 and want to import those into Viacad 10 pro.
I'm not able to edit anything. I only see the total drawing as a wireframe "Group".
I can point at the drawing and ViaCad shown Mesh#.
Is there a explode function to edit lines etc in ViaCad?

When I Rotate the drawing, I see all clear as in SketchUp.

I'm new to ViaCad and want to move from SketchUp, but need to modify existing SketchUp drawings.

Hi, if ViaCAD has brought it in as a mesh, I would try selecting everything, right click and go 'change object type'. Change the mesh to something like curves or lines. If you don't get curves or lines as a first option, change to surfaces or something else first, then try again and you should get curve options. Hope this helps.

Cheers

Importing Sketchup is new for Mac users but PC users have had it for some time. On the Mac, Sketchup import is for the 2017 version. On the Mac importing Sketchup results in a mesh, use Change Object Type and set to "Faces" then Change Object Type again and set to "Surfaces". I don't know if this is valid for a PC, but give it a try.

Hello Steen

What version and build of ViaCAD are you using? You can find the info on the splash screen. Are you running windows or mac? Can you post example files?
