I recently upgraded to VC V12 Pro from V9 Pro. Other than selling an upgrade and keeping Punch/Encore profitable what benefit was there?
For me the ONLY benefit was being able to open some V10 files that I was
prevented from opening with V9. In exchange for that I lost the ability to do a pressure deform. I do not know if there are any other crippled features. After spending to much time in V12 I went back to me V9 installation for day to day work.
Were there any bugs fixed?
Where there any algorithms improved?
Where there any major new features?
Is conversion to solid still severely limited?
Is there a pending updated for V12 that will fix broken tools like the pressure deform feature?
Right now
ALL I am using V12 for is opening files from one customer who has V10 (maybe its v11). All work is still being done in V9. If I had realized that it would seem like a drone update I would have simpley asked the customer to provide the files in other export formats.
P.S. The funny part is that one customer purchased VC because I use it and he wanted to be able to send me files in native format for faster & easier collaboration on his projects. You sold a new installation, and an upgrade because of me. How about some answers?
