I searched for this topic with luck. Apologies if this has been answered.
Is there a setting in dimension properties to increase the gap between the measurement text and the extension line? I can't seem to find one.

I only know the trick with a new line inside the text data entry of the dimension object. A backslash with a subsequent P creates a new line. See my 2 pictures, you can fill the new line with spaces to increase the gap at the end of the dimension. Unfortunately this doesn't work at the beginning
