Hello,

I have this problem now since days and can't solve it. I am new with Shark FX in general and I am using Version 8.

What did I do?

1. Imported a DXF from my previous 2D CAD solution.
2. Removed some pieces from the drawing. And there are still some pieces in layers which are hidden right now.
3. I made sure, that the whole contour line is one single line. See the picture attached, I was able to hatch it.
4. Now I am trying to extrude it with "Extrude Solid" and I am getting the "Gap detected.." message.

I can not find where the gap should be. So what can I do to extrude it finally and continue with the rest of the work.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks for your help.

Dieter

Hi Dieter,
I also have this problem with imported .DXF files. I can't explain how it works, but if I erase a line or 2 and redraw the lines, especially at the end of a radius, the file will extrude. Try this on the file without any hatching.

As Larry says, try excluding the Hatching in the Extrusion.

I did what you've suggested - and it worked.
I deleted one of the radius and recreated the line.
And I can extrude it now.

Thanks to both of you for the quick help.

Best regards
