Paste to remember layers (#2120)

Tim & team: Any chance of adding a preference for pasting to remember an objects original layer. This seems like the kind of functionality that has merits on both sides 1. paste always goes to active layer 2. paste always goes to objects original layer It would be good if the user had the choice. Even better if you could right click pre-paste, post copy, to toggle the option. I personally would prefer paste to remember layer as default. Thanks, Gary

Hi Gary, Yes, we added in a paste options dialog box last week that has this plus some other options. Tim

Will this functionality be present in VC6 2D/3D Pro? It would be awesome if i don't have to cherry-pick layers or import and remove/filter things.

No, not in ViaCAD V6. The first release that will have this is Shark FX V6.
Typically we avoid changing the user interface in the ViaCAD products except for major releases.
We are working on a ViaCAD build 832 service pack with more bug corrections.
