To help select the right snapping point, I would like to be able to toggle a floating zoom-window on an off by pressing some special key.

It should automatically zoom the current window at the cursor position and show the cursor right in the middle of the zoom-window. This window could be like the floating Viewport in the comming V5 or:

A more fancy variation would be like in this zoom-window.jpg

...offset to the side of the cursor point, showing cursor in the original viewport and the snap-cross and tool-tip in the "magnifying glas".

This way snapping to the right point will be easy.

Toggling the magnifying glas on and off quickly is a must though.
