How can I render in the Sketch-style to a file? I can see how to PREVIEW it on screen within my working drawing, but how can i render it as such to a high rez file as I would a regular rendering?

Choose from the tools menu the Sketch Tool. Choose the type....Cartoon, Color Wash etc.
Then, make a preview if you want...and go to Render to File via the Tool. Apply the resolution and voil!

Jean-Francois Jacques, please check your saved result. I followed your instruction but the saved file is not rendered as a sketch. In your case it is rendered as Preview (with shadows). Can anybody tell me how to render a sketch to file? Maarten den Hartog

Yup still haven't been able to Render-to-File a Sketch style render. It gives a great preview (albeit an incredibly SLOOOOOOW one), but fails to allow me to render a nice high rez one to a usable file. Someone please help fix this. It has great potential when showing concepts. Thank you!!!

Yep - sketch renders are horribly slow - I don't think it's wired up right !?

Any news on this? I still can't render render to file in sketch mode in Shark FX v7 ... that's absurd!

I must say that render module in shark an via cad is.... useless, to slow and buggy, for scotch render my recommendation is to use sketch up or (more expensive) cinema4d, that is what i do, export your model as .obj file will easy your life. Luis G.

>How can I render in the Sketch-style to a file? Fixed in build 1010. You can also now Render to File the metal, glass, plastic & mirror presets. I also made a change that opens and displays the file you just saved. Tim

- Why is sketch render so horribly slow ? I simply can't use it - Why can't I fence-select a specific area to render when in a rapidrender preset ?
