I have experimented a little with the Attributes/BOM box, but I'm still trying to figure out how to have custom headings and fields.

The current headings and fields are fine, but I couldn't find one that had dimensions of L/W/H and then calculates cubic meters.

Fields I need:
-No. of part i.e. 1,2,3...
-Qty of Part Needed
-Part Name/Description
-Quality of Mat'l
-Dimensions L x W x H
-Total Area of Part (cubic units)

Did I miss this in the fields? How can I customize this feature to reflect my requirements? I've been using excel and feel that it would be better/easier to do all of this within Shark itself.

I searched the forum and found an old (2007) tutorial from Tim but it didn't seem to show anything in the way of customizing headings.

Thanks!!

Also, would you check to see whether any BOM Part ID changes when the drawing is edited? I wish that a master number could be fixed to at least one piece of original geometry (as if the the parent DNA) so that anything added to the initial pieces has a master number. Any subsequent changes would not alter the original number.

Also, it would be nice if a user field allowing ad-hoc naming or layer info could be part of the BOM. Last i looked i felt i couldn't do some things i'd been asking for, then forgot because i had ohter fish to fry.

How about attached? Put this file in your BOM folder.
