How to determine material you've already used? (#4647)

Once you've applied a material, is there any way to determine what it is so that you can re-use it? Outside of taking good notes at the moment you applied it, of course :) The material tab doesn't tell you what material has been applied, just angle, height, and width. Or, better yet, is there a way to set a material to be the same as an existing material? Thank you! Mark
