Hi

using ViaCAD Pro DE v9 (build 1110) - Mac Version from the Apple App store under 10.9

I'm new to ViaCAD, so I'm just starting to use it. When I create a new drawing, I save it on my desktop. On quitting ViaCAD I get the "want to save the changes" box... if I click yes I'm prompted for a filename and on confirming the old filename I get the "file already exists, want to replace it ?" alert box.

Seems odd, either save the changes into the same file or if I ask for it save under a new name etc.

I'm not doing anything wrong, am I ? Any idea ?

Jo

btw. it's the same if I save while working... no save the current file, it's always replace...

Don't see that behavior you describe on Windows, maybe it has to do with where it is saved. Does it do this if you save to a different location?

not really I have an OSX Server but its the same if I save locally to a folder or my desktop (i.e. a location that I definitely have all rights to delete, read, write, execute etc. )

thx jo

ok now I'm using the latest beta ViaCAD PRO v9 build 1142
and voila saving works as expected, plus the autosave feature is there. So it's definitely an issue with the Apple App store version !

so I would recommend a direct purchase over the Apple App Store for anybody in doubt...
