I am running ViaCAD Pro with power Pack pro on a lenovo D20 with 24 GB RAM (18 GB uasable) and when trying to convert large meshs to NURB after converting what can be converted to quads i have a huge amount of lag. CPU resource hangs at between 6.5 and 7.8% and RAM slowly head towards 2GB of RAM (currently it is sitting at 1.5GB of RAM in use). Is there a way that anyone knows of increasing the proirity that windows 10 allows for a program to use more memory/CPU to get a job done? As it is I am looking into adding another 32GB of RAM to the system to try to relieve other issues. The D20 has 2 Xeon Quad core processors and 16 threads available. There has to be a way to get access to that processing ability to use the wonderful tools that ViaCAD 64 with PowerPack Pro has given us. This is not the only program that runs into similar issues. I also run Aspire v8 and when generating g-code for large models it will stay below 10% of CPU usage often while building up a large RAM load to deal with a model.

Just wondering, IF Tim or the team need to have some models to use let me know. Only they are restricted models (either mine and commercial or been bought by me and have limits on how they may be used). Most can be used to improve code function without issue (I have communicated with more than a few of the designers to get those permissions).

Current model has gotten to 1,826 MB of RAM and is staying around 7.2% of CPU. States that ViaCAD is not responding but that is something I ignore often as it is often not accurate.

These programs do not use Windows resources correctly, you can have huge ammounts of ram, a top of the range processor/graphics card and Shark or Viacad will hang, crash and have flashing screens. I have just finished a test on a top of the range machine and Shark ran no better than it did on my laptop, there are many underlying issues with this program.
