I am a newbie so if I am missing this: but is there a way to either build scripts / macros or plugins to autoproduce assemblies?

In a wood shop drafting office it would be nice to say click a drawer or cabinet style and then produce them to size? I could do this in Sketchup and Sketchlist and since VIaCad is so powerful I am assuming I just ignorant on how to do this.

Hi Jb
I use shark for layouts as well.
I have been experimenting with full 3d cabinets.
I had the plan of extruding all the units and grouping the pieces together into units then using the gripper to resize as needed.
It was for me too hard to manage and full of anomalous results.
That was when I first started to use shark (I have version 8) but the more I use it, to an extent the more stable or reliable my drawings are. (still full of funny stuff but halfway manageable)and I'm still learning and slowly getting faster, so that's why I don't complain much as its probably just me. :-)

But something I have been experimenting with lately is the save as symbol feature,(a great little tool)under the file tab on the left hand side, which is I think, what you want,
again the only problem is it seems hard to adjust the units once they come back and often random "stuff" just happens.
but I am going to redraw, extrude and re-save some more units now that I am more experienced to see if things are more stable

I will attach some picture so you can perhaps see what I mean.
Its very useful to be able to save the 2d and 3d objects that that you can reuse

Nice drawings!

I have been trying symbols. And for me it seemed easier to ungroup the symbol then GRIPPER gives more options.

Great potential.
