anyone have any experience or thoughts they're willing to share on importing large X-Y spline data sets? I've read "How can I import spline data from Excel?" in Tim's book and still have questions..... my data set (>1000 points) is currently in four columns; two for calculations and X & Y (ie: linked). is there a way to tell Shark FX9 which two columns are X & Y in the Tab Delimited Text (.txt) format file?? if not, does Shark FX9 "see" hidden columns? short of rewriting/merging/eliminating the calculation columns, is there any way to get four columns of data into Shark FX9 and have the X & Y data recognized for use in a spline??

Hi Art

The import reads simple text files with no formatting. Can you copy the two columns with the xy data into a new spreadsheet and then export as txt? If you need the two speadsheets linked, I think Excel has an option for that.
