Afternoon,

Still loving ViaCAD and working it in with other software. I wanted to ask when you do a Coordinate compare in V10 Power Pack addon, the results, say you're measuring the offset between two surfaces, it shows in inches? The model I'm working in is all in mm, and set up for mm, but this result in the dialog box that pops up is in inches.

Is there any way to change this to mm?

Thanks

Thanks for the heads up, I will correct for MM. Coordinate Compare is in PowerPack Pro.

Awesome! I keep forgetting to change it when I check things! An export would be great as well. Just gettìng that link between it telling you where the biggest error is and being able to find it :-) I've been plotting the point to help me find the correct area

Hi Tim,

When changes on builds are made how do we find out about them? I've been looking through the forum but can't see much to do about it.
I see the bit in your signature strip, is that where we look or is there an announcement?

Cheers

The coordinate compare inch/mm correction is in the 1339 builds.

There is a thread in the Beta forum that includes a change log.

This change is in the SharkCAD Pro Beta 1339 which was uploaded over the weekend. I'll update the change log shortly.

We also made a 1339 ViaCAD Pro WIP build for TechSupport, but they are testing the installers.

Just wanted to add another question. When doing a coordinate compare between two surfaces which have been turned from a mesh to a nurb, we get the results. Sometimes there is a difference between the outer boundaries of the surfaces, and this is picked up on with the compare. Which is fair enough.

I'd like to look at the surface deviation, so if on the attached images I get rid of the larger lines which are the boundary comparison, I'm left with (in this case 116 lines) Now if I click VERIFY, LENGTH from the toolbar I get a dialog box for each line. Is there a way to quickly find the second largest error, so to speak, without clicking through 116 different dialog boxes and making a note of each one?

Cheers
