I want to add a loop to a box-shaped mesh but I can only add it from the mid point, I tried to add it any other locations and it did not create a loop. Did I do something wrong?

Thanks for your reply, but I still cannot do that. I can still only add a loop on the mid point.
I have also tried to disable the Snap function, but it still doesn't work.
Does it not work on the Windows 10 platform?

You should be able to add any where along the edge. An underlying snap might be overriding. Maybe try rotating the view a bit.
