Finding and changing an objects location

I'm new to ViaCad Pro so I'm climbing a the learning curve. My projects normally require that I insert features at specific locations. The solids that I've messed with allow you to do that when you create them but I don't see a way to select an object and see/change where it is. I figure I must be missing something obvious.

Hello mperdue,
The translate tool is one that will allow you to move and move/copy objects specific distances.
I guess there are many many ways to locate objects, Some depends on if you are talking about 2d or 3d objects.
To locate objects you can draw construction lines or points and use the snaps.
There is also the precision point tool to specifically locate objects - See pic.
Using workplanes, even custom workplanes you can get coordinates data entry to help locate objects. In preferences -> user interface there is option to check use work plane coord in the data entry or it will default to the global work plane.
One useful shortcut key is the 'c' key. If you select a point and keep hitting 'c' it will cycle thru workplanes for quick adjustments
If you have more questions or this doesn't help please ask more questions.
Regards
Jason

Thanks for the reply - it gives me something to check into. I guess I really need to get more familiar with it before I ask many more questions.
