Hi,

I've attached a drawing I'm working on. I've added an aux view in order to add a diameter, or rad dimension. However I can't add it, nor can I do the hole, anyone any ideas? I have fudged in the centre mark on the aux view as I couldn't add that either. Any ideas on any of these things would be great!

Cheers

Hi Ugmentalcase,

I have the same issue all the time.
The curve is defined as a "line" and the rad tool doesn't work.
My trick is to draw a 3 point arc on top, then use the rad tool on it.

Sometimes the tool still doesn't catch it and I have to use the select mask : "arc only"

Ah ha, you use arc, I tried a best fit circle for the hole, and it put it in at some obscure angle so gave up. Thanks for the tip! Do we know whether this type of thing would get looked at and maybe changed? One thing I don't like is fudging in drawings!

In the views shown these objects are elliptical, You would need to create view/s that show these curves in 2d plane as true circles like create a construction circle to use in the draw views.
