Curious about the competition and what I’m missing I took some time to checkout some other cad packages. It seems to me that there is focus on interface which should be rather obvious but is probably the most difficult thing to design and program. Of course after spending time with other software I feel relieved to get back to Shark that allows me to work full speed, probably because I use it for 5 hours a day for 10 years because in the beginning I almost gave up on it. But I do miss a modern interface, ours is cluttered with palettes and need a serious review. Many tools have no visual clues (bend and streach comes to mind), for such operations I export to Rhino. Interface is not about being pretty, it’s about giving control to the user. Claus

>>(bend and streach comes to mind), Yes a better interface would help for these tools. Bend along curve can be challenging. FYI, the PunchCAD program manager is putting together a survey to poll users what areas need improvement. Tim

I want to predict the outcome - stability of existing features - modern render technology - interface overhaul you already mentioned that constraints are probably coming, after playing with Fusion 360 I can see the power of that (and the pain it is if you’re not a tidy modeller). Claus

My top priorities :
1- Model to sheeeeet (many bugs solving) !
2- History tree robustness improvement.
3- splines tangency control (like illustrator and others).
I know Swiss designer that will follow me on these points...

It would be not bad to have a more modern shading like matcap or pbr . Separate reflective and matte materials etc... in real time. Maybe rotated hdri environment. How it is implemented in many modern software. It would greatly improve the creative modeling process. :)
