I have used the match face tool for some of my parts in an assembly and now getting "unable to regen feature" issues when attempting to rotate the assembly as one unit (to mate to another assembly. The message is coming up for multiple parts on different layers. Anybody else had a similar issue?

Hello You might need to use the edit - > remove links, to break the associations of the match face references. Also could copy the parts to create the assembly in different layer, or even save parts and import into a new file for the assembly. Regards Jason

The part should be able to regen properly if you translate the donor face that you're matching to along with the part. The spatial relationship between the donor face and the part is part of the link/association between them.
