This is related to Beta Testing, but, as it's more like a feature request than anything in the Beta product (and I'm not a beta tester), I chose not to put it there and derail the most recent beta test posting/s

Will someone in authority in the company soon be able to disclose expectations-setting information?

I'm not asking for testers to violate rules/NDA terms. I'm asking if the company itself is closing in on the timeline where Tim or a designated communications employee can give tentative or prospective lists of fixes and of new features. (Yep, I realize that Marketing/Marketing Communications teams prefer to hold back as long as possible for control and competition reasons.)

For instance, I'd love to see the Company:

— Put an end to the undesired down-zoom that happens when I Ctrl-Tab between two drawings;

— Allow tearing off any layer and dragging the layer to a new parent level (put an end to nesting restrictions);

— Make "Duplicate Layer" actually duplicate the name of the layer AND create and sublayers already in said layer whether said layer contains 0 or 30 sub layers;

— Make surfaces-only-selections actually appear in the Entities tab like solids and curves appear when they're individually selected;

— Allow the user to place two drawings side by side and reorganize layers by functionality built into the naming logic in the layers at least at a gross level like 100, or 1000, 0r 5,000 to at least quickly restructure a nasty tree;

— (I haven't seen any video for Layer Sets) Make on some new tabs or as a separate GUI a variation of Layer Sets that is more like circling/lassoing/boundary-boxing two or more pieces of geometry but with the Chain Select feature as an option to distance/relationship/ adjacency value, then build a dimmed or promoted duplicate of the Select Mask/Inspector/Concept Explorer pallets;

— Put a fully-featured or meaningfully useful basic search box on each the Select Mask, Inspector, and Concept Explorer pallets to allow searching of the app's own structural terms as well as any layer name or object name the user creates (even spreadsheets and word processors let users find and change hierarchy of things the user creates), OR, add/restore REGEX;

— Allow the user to add tabs to the Concept Explorer, give them numbers, give a search term within each tab, and use that key word to automatically and continuously keep the Concept Explorer organized by user or team needs without "Current Nested Level" limitations;

— Allow users to import a spreadsheet (generic enough to never compel use of a specific spreadsheet vendor) to the tabs on the Concept Explorer, with calculations or rules (not sure how this may relate to the Layer Sets feature/s);

— Add a meta-data-like feature in the pallets so the user can do the equivalent of database schema linking of related objects, in effect creating an alternative filtering aide that can help speed up layering reassignment of the drawing objects;

— Make the Gripper/LogiCursor rotate feature preserve the existing angle of curves being scaled so that, for example, the rotate or scale can precisely relimit lengths of curves (without having to use Trim on one or more curves, as teimming wants to break associativity present on objects trimmed), generate coincidence of points, and highlight whether endpoints are coincident or not coincident;

— Make the app honor the "show points" setting across sessions (there is never ever ever a case where I would want endpoints to be invisible; restarting afte crashing often means I forget to turn the points back to Show, and it's for over 10 years been deeply, profoundly frustrating that neither the GUI nor the config file make my setting persistent);

— Make a ball or cube of a user defined diameter and thickness hover around the Gripper or Logicursor cursor or follow the mouse pointer so that just the objects inside of, outside of, or between the limit banding of a sphere/cube are seen through a user-chosen shade or color or hatching effect with transparency just related to said sphere/cube (as this can reduce zooming and panning and orbiting).

Many of the above flow from my increasing frustration with repurposed layers that I export all inheriting a new, distracting, unneeded, non removable top layer. If I repurpose a deeply nested tree/branch/level of layers (export, because I want to retain the associativity, since copy-paste doesn't preserve associativity), each drawing gets weird/funky/illogical/inane presences of levels that end up looking like a staircase or placeholder. I'm not a professional drafter nor designer, but have worked in a Marine Engineering firm, and I'm 1000% certain practical engineers and architects and senior drafters would make it a non-starter to even look at a CAD app that denies at-will, ad-hoc for-neatness-sake clean reorg of layers.

I know the company will release information on its own timeline. I'm just feeling dribbling out some teasers every few weeks can help me build some expectations.

Yes, the above should be under Wish List, but so far I haven't seen a list of Beta features even if they don't survive the Beta.

Again, I'm not asking anyone under NDA to violate the NDA. I'm not a beta tester, and I presume it's too late. Plus, if I were to become a Beta tester and see all sorts of things that don't address my long-requested features, I'd be crestfallen, and by openly repeating a request for specific features, I'd effectively violate the NDA, and I don't want to do that.
