Version 8 of Electric Image is in Beta, and the first rendered images are beginning to trickle out.

The GI engine has been enhanced with Photons among many other features.

ViaCAD and Shark support animation and rendering in EI through FACT model export.

EI also includes an unlimited network rendering license so you can render on as many computers as you want at no extra cost.

Render time on the full res file was well under 16 minutes. :)
EI is a great compliment to Shark.



BTW- there is also an OBJ conversion tool for EI which helps re-organize and import textured OBJ files.

Thought I would mention this since OBJ is now supported in Shark.
It's one more option for data exchange.

EI also has "competitive" prices for users of most 3d graphics software (I think they even allow Photoshop)- This reduced price is VERY affordable.
