Hi, if i shorten or lengthen a beam along itsnsweep path, its weight changes accordingly. But, if i lengthen or shorten it by transverse movement, the beam, VCP 7 does not report a weight change. I have not tried creating the model 90 degrees off and then attempt to replicate this. My steps: I created a deck plate and thickened it. I exploded a line from the bottom of the plate. I selected each line and turned on the "Show Points" I segmented the lines so as to have reference points for girder sweeep paths. I created profiles fro small lines. I connected the line segments to create closed profiles. I used the Skin Solid tool and the shift key to make a solid that i can resize simply by moving either profile end, something that appears to be impossible using the "one rail sweep solid" tool. If i shorten the girder, it loses weight. If i lenghten it, it gains weight. These only work if the resizing is along the sweep path, front to back. The front and back x and z coordinates are not moved, only the y is. If i move the beam from one end, but side to side, as in laterally or transversely in my model, there is no recognition of change in mass or material to change weight. The move distance is on the order of 4 or 5 meters. The LCG does not change, although the TCG seems to behave. Moving one end of the sweep path does not remedy the situation. Moving one end of the girder's closed profile does not remedy the situation. Is it possible to see correct weight and LCG changes without thickening a surface and without doing a one rail sweep solid?
