I'm in the process of converting some of my drawing aids into the ViaCAD 2D/3D V7 Reference Card style and size. I thought I would post some of them, primarily for those that are just starting to learn ViaCAD. I'm sure the more experienced members of the forum have similar aids that they are comfortable with.

In my opinion, keyboard shortcuts are best utilized with one hand on your keyboard, and the other on the mouse. I use a mouse with thumb buttons (side buttons) and assign one to Control and another to Shift. This eliminates attempting to span the the keyboard with one hand while pressing widely separated keys. Just press the appropriate side button plus the required key, and your command is activated. Remember keyboard shortcuts are case sensitive, however the Shift mouse button will shift your lower case key to upper case (Caps) and ViaCAD will recognize the command. This allows two commands for most key. For example, the lower case "g" could be the key for Group, and Shift plus "g" could be the combination for Gripper. Also, some of the commands are toggles. You can have different sets of shortcut keys for various types of drawings -- just add them to a drawing template. I use shortcuts with custom Tool palettes, this allows for fast manipulation of tools, views, and work-planes. The card included in this post is my normal set of keyboard shortcuts.

If you think the attached card is useful, just print it on card stock and cut to 4.5"x6.75". If you wish, there is plenty of space remaining on the card to include additional shortcuts.
