I get an error when I try shelling at .08" or at .02" for that matter. Any takers on this. I just can't shell period. My curves look good to my eyes.
Using the latest and greatest shark FX947.

Ernesto,
Managed to shell it at 0.01", but not at 0.015" There is some funkyness at the short end, and I guess that the problem has something to do with the curvature of the splines that you used to create the surfaces.

At that thickness, I should be able to make it out of paper and eat the spoon. I can't imagine why it won't work for a thicker offset. I 'd hate to change the profile.

Hi Ernesto,
I can get the shell to work at .02", but .08" causes the shell to become non-uniform. I have attached two screenshots of my results. These have been sectioned longitudinally so you can better visualize the wall thickness.
I am also running SFX v7 947 on OS X.

Kevin

thanks for the replies. I take it you shelled the inside as I confirmed at .08" and viewing transparency. I'm thinking that I could offset the outer surface by .06" when doing a similar shelling at .02". Your .02 pic looks great.
Another approach I've tried is to increase the dimension of the small wide end to be past .08" so that there would be some space left behind after shelling.
