Hi Redss
You already own ViaCAD 2d/3d so you can upgrade to VC pro for a lower price than full retail price. Check the upgrade price on Punch website.

the main difference is the precise MTS which is helpful resp. required for creating professional shop drawings, i.e. a projected circle is a real, analytic circle which can be dimensioned and not just a bunch of lines as in VCP.
If you don't need to derive 2D construction drawings from your 3D models on a regular basis, VCP is probably the right version for you... and upgrading later on to LT is available too.
AC is mainly for prof. 2D construction even with some 3D capabilities in the recent versions of the full blown AC.

Redss
You can keep your VC-6 on the computer if you want.

I don't think it is *required*. I left the VC 6 on my machine. It's a good way to avoid unnecessarily generating feature trouble tickets. In other words, when using VCP, if i think to myself, "Could or could i not have done this in VC6?" I can then fire it up and try. Sometimes, a drawing i haven't touched for a while is stil on the MRU (most-recently-used) list of VC6, but for whatever reason i don't open it in VCP. Rather than hunt for it, i can use VC6 to open it, rather than making a shortcut. And, if for whatever reason, you can run both simultaneously, but i don't do that too much anymore. And, if i have any legacy or custom settings in VC6 that i want to transfer to VCP, I can fire up the VC6 interface and switch between the two to tweak VCP to my desire, besides just copying in the settings file. Now, generally, most companies want you to cease using the version you upgraded FROM. But, since it's not of much use to others without a full-activation key once an install's trial period expires, some companies may deem it not a big deal to enforce removal when the validation key takes care of the issue when dealing with legitimate users. Others may have their own reasons to drop in here...
