When holding Alt and clicking on a point with the Dynamic Rotate tool, it will now move around the selected point. But before you did that, the default behaviour is to spin around a part which is selected.

Now how do I change back to the default behaviour? Now I'm just restarting ViaCad to go back (if it didn't crash in the mean time by itself as part of its normal routine, that is).

open navigator window (window/navigator), double click con empty space or eye icon on that window (anywhere except the sphere, and other icon beside the eye one)
it will prompt options window, select "object center" option, click ok

done

Thanks for the answer. I'm using ViaCad 2D/3D. I don't have Navigator in the Window menu.

Hello Macnavi.

After clicking on the dynamic rotate icon please look at the top left of
your screen.

There it reads:
Press CTRL to specify rotation center.
Double Click rotate icon to autospin.

Maybe that is what you are searching for ?

Not what I was looking for, as it starts to rotate by itself then, but I noticed that it does actually reset the rotation point, so it was the answer to the question. Thanks for that.
