If I have 2 drawing windows open

I close one window

The view changes on the remaining drawing window such that my screen is no blank and I need to 'E' key to see my model

Why does closing one model affect the other ?

Setting view limits as well as rotation centers should happen PER MODEL, NOT GLOBALLY .. pleeease !

Thankyouverymuchaha

I've had a variation of this before and even to this day. I gave up asking for help about it because i resigned to the idea that it was because i'm running VCP inside vista/win7 running inside VirtualBox. I didn't know whether it was VBOX OSE 3.0.8, or whether the full version at 3.1.4 will rid me of this vexing irritatin.

In my case, I don't have to close a drawing. Just switching from drawing to drawing changes the zoom extents. It's really disorienting when trying to transfer copies of parts or reference an earlier version and having the extends religiously changing on toggling. It adds a cumulative and huge amount of time loss to working. If this truly is a VC 2D-3D/VCP/Shark problem, i hope it's resolved soon. The little things that add up wear me down. I've for the past month been watching DVDs because i'm exhausted with my new machine not doing much more CADwise than opening up huge files in half the time compared to my older laptop. I haven't put w7 on my old laptop, so i won't say that everything wearing me down is "all" VCP. I also have a loss of attention or focus, so i'm becoming more distractable, and when apps have curious things going on, i end up doing less work. I have to renew my approach and streamline things to so i stay excited and less distractable.
