Hello All

We have had several requests from UK customers for additional environment maps / backgrounds including bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchens, offices, etc and are just trying to gauge if there is any demand from users outside of the UK? If so what different environment maps / backgrounds would you like to see?

Our intention is to create environment maps / backgrounds as HDRI in preparation for their support in the future and so that they can be used with other rendering systems too.

Nick,

I agree with you that HDRI would be a good choice, and backgrounds could either be computer generated from existing scenes, or photographically generated. It would seem that any standard Lightworks HDRI backgounds should work as well.

If there are HDRI standards, then any additional images for backgrounds and such should adhere to those standards. As for content, those suggestions for kitchens, bathrooms, etc, would be very helpful! That would save me hours of extra work. On a related subject, any tutorials on using the background images in a controlled manner? Maybe, I missed the section in the manual on that. Thanks
