I found this [URL="http://www.mit.edu/~ibaran/curves/"]link[/URL] on another website that I visit and thought it could be a good replacement for the Sketch tool we have in ViaCAD.

The curves it produces are lovely and I'm sure would make some fantastic extrusions and surfaces etc.

Tim - you should look at this

Tuning splines takes a lot of time - without rationalised splines, you'll create ugly surfaces - and ugly solids !

Such things make software nice! It makes designing easier. One question remains about the nature of the generated splines! If they have like hundreds of controlpoints - not so useful. But please give it a try guys!

This feature with good control points would beat anything...
