subdivision tool not working

Hi, I have been quite successful in using viacad pro 9. Recently, I started to use the mesh functions. I tried to follow the spoon video but a few things were not working like in the tutorial. The most disturbing factor was that I could not use the subdivision tool at all. Clicking at the mesh did absolutely nothing. After a while a window appeared and told me "this mesh is maxed at three (four) divisions". Now, I am sure that this cannot be the case, since I believe we are talking abot uo to 2000 facets. Could you please tell me where the mistake lies. Many thanks Andras

Hello Andras >>"this mesh is maxed at three (four) divisions". This message indicates the mesh is subdivided, and cannot be further subdivided as it has reached it's maximum number of subdivisions. Can you post your file? Thanks Tim

Hi Tim, I can post the file bit it really is the standard mesh cube with 3x3x3 subdivisions. I was trying to copy the spoon from the spoon video. Andras
