text problem in viacad v9 - ??

I am trying to place texting on the top of a 4"x3" x.313 thick plate. In viacad v9 I placed the text on the top , but when I save it and export the file to STL so I can open it in Meshcam, Meshcam is showing as if there is no text to machine? Is there a depth tool for creating text in ViaCad V9 and if so, where is it? I want to create text that is about 1/32" down from the top of material.......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

you need to extrude the text before placing on a surface.

text placing is shown in the video after ca. 3 min.

to sink the text simply subtract from solid

Thank you very much!! My next problem is I am trying to use the same size 4"x3"x.313 thick plate and take my 1/8" bit and make circle cuts with 1/4" spacing between each circle. The circles go up in diameter every circle. Now I made the design on Viacad, but when I save it , than export it to meshcam, when I go to have meshcam run the tool path, it does not recognize the 1/8" circle cuts? Is there a reason why?

Thank you. I did that but when I goto export to a STL.file so meshcam can open it, meshcam is not recognizing the text when I try and generate the tool path? ANyone know what kind of tool to use to machine text?
