It has been 3 days since I have tried to contact support. I have submitted tickets and left messages. Are they out of business?? Very frustrating. No tracking number on tickets. Lost password function on forum goes nowhere (see below)"Server Error in '/' Application. gm276talk,
Maybe I can offer a little help using some guesswork. In regards to Encore support, I recall that if you look at some of their articles relating to existing support questions on their web-page, I think there is a phone number given that you can call. If you go to the PunchCAD website, select "Support" and then "Technical Support", select your product and then open any article about it, there should/might be a phone number at the bottom of the article.
At least you were able to post in this group. Maybe somebody else can provide more assistance...I don't think that this group is directly related to, or monitored, by Encore support staff.
See:
http://forum.punchcad.com/defau...sts&t=6983#post25777 Do you have a specific ViaCAD issue that someone in this group might be able to help with?

Hi Tim (other Tim), My problem is a simple one. In an attempt to increase the memory on my pc, the dreaded "fingerprint mismatch" occurred. Even after removing the additional memory, the error remains. I followed instructions and sent the code to support in hopes of receiving a new one. No response. I submitted a trouble report. no response. I called the number for tech support which says all techs are busy but you can leave a message. I left a message ( two in fact ) . No response. I called another number which just transfers you to the same recording. I even called the main number for Navarre. The person was new but looked in directory and had a number for punch software and punchcad. Unfortunately the same ones I already called. So here I am about 4 days later and no closer to restoring my software. Sorry to be so long winded but that is the story . Great software but the support is a real downer. Thanks Don B

Hi Don >."fingerprint mismatch" FYI, I forwarded your forum post directly over to the guy doing tech support and asked about the status. Tim

Don,
It looks like Tim O. is helping, so that's a real good thing. My understanding of fingerprint errors is that even a security update can sometimes cause them. This scares me. Not sure what is going on with some of this, but like you, I really like ViaCAD and would be very sad if I had to stop using it because of things like you are experiencing.
I really don't like that you got no response from Tech Support on this issue. Maybe now you will.
I wonder if upgrading my computer would automatically result in the dreaded fingerprint error? (i.e. 86'd by the 209?)
Please let us know if this gets resolved!

Funny! LOL
I just read this and I always knew that entering Answer is not the answer. I wonder if the thing works now that I have a password to reset it.
